About: GRET is an International Solidarity Association Working at the Interface between Research and Development, in Dialogue with Government Authorities. An international solidarity organisation, GRET is a non-profit association created in 1976 that obtains most of its resources from contracts. GRET's fields of action are diverse: Rural Development, Urban Development, Access to Essential Services, Microfinance, Media, International Regulations, etc. GRET is active in approximately fourty countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. It places considerable emphasis on experience analysis and documentation and on communication for development. It develops field projects systematically undertaken in partnership with local organisations or leading to the creation of such organisations. Today, these projects make up two thirds of its activities. Through network moderation and support for development and cooperation contracting authorities, it also contributes to elaborating public policies in developed and developing countries.

Activities in the project: GRET will primarily contribute to the elaboration of the "CSO Involvement Net" and take part in the regionally based presentation meetings. Moreover, GRET will be responsible for the project results' dissemination. GRET will actively involve RIAED, an international information network it is the coordinator of. RIAED will especially serve for hosting and running the "CSO Involvement Net", as well as for posting the main e-based publication and information material.
